I was extremely proud of it at the time. I was so happy that I'd finally made my own graphic, minus the guitar which I took from the pre-made photoshop graphics category. I was so happy, and I didn't know about the polygonal lasso tool or anything, I just filtered around with my image and used brushes to change the legs. I was really happy. I showed some people and they didn't say much. I wondered what I was doing wrong... I kept on practising, and eventually... really slowly, my graphics got better... and better:
I was satisfied. I didn't set myself challenges, and I thought I was doing well. I stayed on this level for a while, but once my jealousy roared after seeing the intricate detailed graphics of newer magazines, I decided to really kick it up a notch. I wanted to work for a magazine... I wanted to work for one of the big apples in the buisness!
looking back, my graphics weren't good, but I DO NOT regret making them, I am still proud of them, because they are the canvas from which I escalated.
And today I do things like this:
and
I've improved. I dont care what anyone else thinks, I myself believed that I've improved. and im going to keep improving until I can be the best I can be.
So to all my followers and the people who want to pursue a graphic designing hobby- PRACTICE. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT, and above is an extremely good example! DONT GIVE UP, because If I did, I would still be at the bottom of the ladder.
Good luck xxx
